From Scramble to Longest Drive – CCH Mixes it Up This Year
The impact of COVID 19 crisis has had devastating consequences for everyone. Cleveland Christian Home recognizes that now is not the time to host a large gathering where charitable giving and close physical proximity are inherent. Therefore, we have made the decision to cancel the 2020 Scramble for Kids, planned for Monday, June 22, 2020. However, we don’t want to lose the spirit of this event.
If you are looking to get out, hit the ball, and have a little competitive fun, you can participate in the 2020 Longest Drive for Kids competition! The Longest Drive for Kids (LDFK) offers competitive play of 18 holes on a good course and the opportunity to drive your ball farther than all of your friends while supporting CCH in a safe and fun way.
Any day, at any time between May 15 and June 26, 2020 at the course of your choice, hit the links to record your longest drive of the day! Using the honor system, you can either donate the dollar amount of your choice per yard to CCH OR you can get others to sponsor you per yard of your longest drive OR both! Your game, your pace, your way. CCH will announce “winners” of both the longest actual drive AND the Longest Drive for Kids (the one who raises the most $$ for CCH) on June 24, 2020 via CCH e-newsletter blast, website, and social media pages.
Rules of Play: You can choose to do any one or a combination of the following:
• Register to compete by donating the dollar amount of your choice per yard of your longest drive!
• Repeat Step #1 above AND get others to sponsor you for every yard of your longest drive.
• Contribute any portion of the amount you would normally spend at the Scramble for Kids (Registration, Golfer Packet, Raffle Tickets, etc.) as a donation to CCH.
• Take a pass this year, take care of yourself and your loved ones, but stay in touch to learn more about a possible get-together this fall.
Because this event supports children that CCH serves, we welcome the children in your life to become involved! Prizes for top fund raisers will be announced on our website and via social media, so keep checking back! Tag us in videos and pictures on social media as you compete for The Longest Drive, and let us to cheer you on! Use hashtags #LongestDriveCCH or #ForeTheKids
