Under direction, the Community-Based Therapist provides and/or coordinates therapeutic and related services to assigned families aimed at addressing their mental health and support needs.


Education, Training, and/or Experience:

  • A Master’s degree in Social Work or related field;
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience in counseling, social work, and/or in providing therapeutic support services to children and families; or
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Licensed by the State of Ohio Counselor and Social Work Board as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW), or a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Independent Licensure in Chemical Dependency (LICDC) or a LISW or PCC with scope of practice in chemical dependency, preferably with children and families
  • Must have and maintain a valid Ohio Driver’s License, personal vehicle, appropriate driving record and appropriate insurance coverage at all times (as required by agency policy and/or insurance carriers).
  • Successful completion of all required pre-hire tests and proof of current TB test upon hire

Pay: $40,000.00 per year


  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
