HR Generalist

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for the daily administration of human resources programs and services.

Duties include:
-Recruitment & Retention-advertising, screening, referring candidates, interviewing, conducting surveys
-Onboarding of new hires-checking references, fingerprinting, drug screening, new hire orientations
-Employee Relations-conferring with managers regarding the initial handling of employee disciplinary issues
-HRIS Administration-entering data and creating reports
-Benefit Administration-processing benefit changes and enrollments, answering employee questions regarding benefits
-Retirement Plan Administration-working with 3rd party administrator by processing enrollments and changes
-Workers Compensation & FMLA-working with 3rd party administrators by appropriately handling the reports and paperwork, responding to employee inquiries
-Unemployment Compensation-filing initial response to claims
-Audit preparation-assures that the HR Department meets audit requirements
-Ensures compliance with applicable legal requirements and agency certification standards
-Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a closely related field
-A minimum of three (3) years of human resources experience with increasing responsibilities
-Able to communicate well verbally and in writing
-Proficiency with HRIS, ADP experience preferred
-Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License, personal insured vehicle, and appropriate driving record
-Must be accustomed to maintaining the confidentiality of records and information
-Must be adaptable to changes in one’s work and on the job
-Must be detail-oriented as well as able to understand the broader perspective
-Must be able to work with a diverse population of employees at all levels of the organization.

Salary: $40,000.00 to $50,000.00 /year
