Sr. Human Resources Generalist

Cleveland Christian Home is seeking a Sr. Human Resources Generalist to join our team.
Cleveland Christian Home is a non-profit organization specializing in providing treatment for at-risk youth. The agency offers a broad range of services, including Counseling, In-home Family Services, and Residential Treatment.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Sr. Human Resources Generalist is responsible for the daily administration of human resources programs and services.

Duties include:

  • Recruitment & Retention-advertising, screening, referring candidates, interviewing, conducting surveys
  • Onboarding of new hires-checking references, fingerprinting, drug screening, new hire orientations
  • Employee Relations-conferring with managers regarding the initial handling of employee disciplinary issues
  • HRIS Administration-entering data and creating reports
  • Benefit Administration-processing benefit changes and enrollments, answering employee questions regarding benefits
  • Retirement Plan Administration-working with 3rd party administrator by processing enrollments and changes
  • Workers Compensation & FMLA-working with 3rd party administrators by appropriately handling the reports and paperwork, responding to employee inquiries
  • Unemployment Compensation-filing initial response to claims
  • Audit preparation-assures that the HR Department meets audit requirements
  • Ensures compliance with applicable legal requirements and agency certification standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a closely related field;
  • A minimum of three (5) years of human resources experience with increasing responsibilities;
  • PHR certification preferred
  • Able to communicate well verbally and in writing;
  • Proficiency with HRIS, ADP experience preferred;
  • Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License, personal insured vehicle, and appropriate driving record;
  • Must be accustomed to maintaining the confidentiality of records and information;
  • Must be adaptable to changes in one’s work and on the job;
  • Must be detail-oriented as well as able to understand the broader perspective; and
  • Must be able to work with a diverse population of employees at all levels of the organization.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 per year
